Pelvic Floor Workshop & Functional Fitness Workout
August 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Dr. Norah Whitten and Dr. Rachel Jerozal of Functional Phyzio and Performance Therapy for a pelvic floor workshop followed by a functional fitness workout. The pelvic floor workshop will cover what the pelvic floor is, how it functions and common pelvic floor conditions and what you can do about them. We’ll also discuss changes to the pelvic floor throughout pregnancy, postpartum and menopause and how to address any symptoms related to these changes. Finally we’ll also discuss how our pelvic floor works during functional exercise and follow that with a short workout utilizing some of the principles taught. The workout will include mostly body weight and light weights and is adaptable for all fitness levels.
Dr. Norah graduated from Duke University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2016 and since then has been specializing in working with active adults. She became passionate about integrating pelvic health into her treatment after noticing a gap in care for active women who wanted to get back to workouts such as running, bootcamp and CrossFit. She is passionate about bridging this gap and educating her patients that pelvic health includes much more than Kegels and requires a whole body approach.
