Hi!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California, Florida, and Nevada. I support individuals, couples, and families through challenges, transitions, and trauma.
My work is grounded in social justice and advanced training in Solution Focused Therapy (SFBT). I have training in several other modalities as well. Being solution-focused resonates best with me and my clients. I really enjoy learning and keeping up with the latest research by reading journal articles and attending professional trainings.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have led workshops and presented webinars. I love supporting new therapists and speak at conferences on various mental health topics from time to time.
MY APPROACH AND PHILOSOPHY:
I believe that everyone is unique and deserves an individualized approach to therapy. You will always be the expert in your life. I will support you as you identify and build on your strengths, talents, and abilities.
My practice is inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming, disability-affirming, trauma-informed, socially just, and anti-oppressive. I approach therapy with cultural humility, deep respect, and a genuine curiosity to learn from each family's experiences. I want everyone to feel safe, respected, valued, seen, and heard.
I understand that culture, identity, values, and life experiences shape everyone. We will focus on what's most important to you first and move forward with your priorities. I encourage your input as we work together. If something isn't working for you, or you need something different, I'm here to listen, learn about you, and adapt to your specific needs.
I'm a neurodiverse therapist, and I enjoy supporting neurodiverse clients. Neurodiversity has a wide range of issues in a neurotypical world. I'm ready to support you and go down any rabbit holes you need to explore.
Some common things I work with clients on include:
Adjusting to a new diagnosis
Anxiety
Depression
Trauma
Relationships
Self-esteem

Increasing productivity
Managing emotions
