Wellness is a hot topic these days and Susie Silver offers a new spin on the subject. This one-hour expert session is an informative, interactive, and relaxing introduction to the world of creative practice for wellness.

 

Unlocking a creative practice helps you silence the abundance of noise in our world and be present to care for your mind and body in mindful ways. Susie coaches you through hands-on creative practices and provides the tools to continue your own creative practice. This workshop is perfect for all artistic and non-artistic skill levels.

Supplies Needed:

  • 3-5 pens, pencils or markers. Anything you have around the house will work well!
  • 5-10 pieces of white paper. The paper can be blank, lined loose or in a notebook.
  • Open mindset willing to learn. 

 

Susie Silver is an artist, educator, coach, consultant and speaker. She grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and later attended the New York State College of Ceramics within Alfred University in Alfred, New York where she earned her BFA in 2002. While attending Alfred University, she also earned a Minor in Art History and Art Education. Susie has furthered her studies at Studio Arts International in Florence, Italy and Penland School of Crafts in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Susie is in her seventeenth year as a Visual Art teacher at Cary High School and earned her National Board teaching certification in 2010. She holds numerous leadership positions at the school and district levels.

Susie’s contemporary artwork is inspired by nature and color . In addition to her artistic and educational work, Susie also owns and operates Locally Made Market, facilitates painting workshops for adult learners of all levels and offers 1:1 coaching for creatives. Susie is an active and passionate advocate for LGBTQ rights and conducts her With Pride Ally Sessions for local schools and businesses, as well as, participates in public speaking events to share her story with the community. Susie currently resides in Cary, NC with her wife, and two children.
