HER Team – Night of Lights 5K

Grab the family and join your HER friends for the WRAL Night of Lights 5k through the beautiful Dix Park grounds. Bundle the kiddos in the stroller, bring some hot chocolate, and get ready to take in the twinkling lights!
*Note: We will be walking the course. You must register in advance (link below). You can save a few bucks if you register 4 at a time, so pair up with another family to snag your tickets!
From the 5K Event Page:
The Night of Lights is returning to Dix Park and runners will be the first to get to experience this awesome spectacle! Runologie will be hosting this night time race through the Park in conjunction with the City of Raleigh and WRAL. Bring out the whole family and get in the Holiday spirit!
Proceeds go to benefit the Dix Park Conservancy, which helps to build and better Raleigh's Park into a transformative public space for community, health, and celebration that will enrich our quality of life in North Carolina.

Fire Station Meal Drop-off & Playground Playdate

HER fam:
Help us stock the fridge/freezer of one of our local fire stations and give the firefighters some great meals to eat over the holiday weekend.
Please share in the comments what you plan to bring so we have some variety for the firefighters!
You can bring a large main dish (like a lasagna that they can freeze and leave out to share), a side that could be served alongside it, or you can package individual meals (i.e. with a main dish, a couple sides, etc).
We will meet at a nearby playground (location TBD) where the kiddos will have a chance to hang out and play and you will be able to drop off your food item. At 5pm our volunteer will load up the food and deliver the meal(s) to the station!

Friendsgiving Brunch

Private Residence

HER fam!
We hope you can join us for a backyard Friendsgiving brunch! The whole family is invited! Come enjoy some time with your HER Friends!
We will be outside, so please plan for the weather. If it's chilly, bundle up!
Please bring a dish to share. We will have some yard games out for the kiddos and a bonfire going.
Mimosas, cider, and coffee will be provided! Please post the dish you plan to bring in the comments so we avoid doubles!

Family Adventure: Chinese Lantern Festival

Grab your family and join your HER Circle friends to take in the beautiful chinese lanterns at Koka Booth Ampitheater.
More than 2,500 lanterns create the 36 all-new displays showcasing the beauty and artistry of Chinese culture in an authentic multi-cultural experience that has become a popular holiday tradition for families. Lanterns are handcrafted by Chinese artisans who live in our community during the festival. Visitors won’t want to miss this year’s new interactive lantern displays and the return of the spectacular floating Dragon on Symphony Lake. Bring the family as festival admission includes nightly Chinese acrobatic performances.
The gates open at 6pm and we will plan to meet just inside the gates to walk through and take in the lights together!
You can purchase your ticket in advance for December 12th at 6pm here:
